Sugar Snap Peas with Sesame

Don’t tell me you can’t do this.  S-I-M-P-L-E.

Three ingredients.
Sugar Snap Peas (good with snow peas too — or even green beans)
Toasted Sesame Oil
Sea Salt

Snap peas have “strings” that run up both sides of the pod.  Not always, but usually.  Grab your paring knife and cut and pull the tip up and across one side, then from the other end, do the other side.  Sometimes you get a string, sometimes you don’t.  Try with each pod.

Steam to your desired crispness (usually only 2 minutes or so, test for crispness).  Drain, flush with cold water and let them sit in the colander to drip  dry a bit.

Toss with toasted sesame oil, sea salt and garnish with black sesame seeds.  Viola!

These make great snackin’ food or toss them on a salad.  I promise you, they won’t last long.
